The randomness and innocence of a 5-year old brain, "Why did God make Chinese people?" followed up immediately with, "Do hedgehogs live in Sweden?"
Pride (mine and his) in perfecting an Anteater drawing (with a sloth on his back!)

| Great job little man! |
Sitting through a two-hour parents meeting at preschool and understanding well over half of it!
My little boy's genuine excitement at new clothes, meticulously arranging them on the floor for display.
A friend's positive reaction to her family's sudden and severe financial loss.
The gift our dear Nanny T gave to herself (and to us!) by booking herself for a 2-week trip here.

Your children are adorable :). And the randomness of kids' thinking is quite a joy!! Please tell your son his anteater is wonderful :), and many best wishes with starting preschool!!
Thanks MJ :-) Though I can't take credit for the little girl..that is my son's (pictured) former Nanny's granddaughter ;-), I'll change the caption. I forget that there are some newbies visiting who don't know my story. Maybe I'll add an About page?
That's a great anteater- he should be proud of that! And well done you on getting a lot of that meeting. Can you pronounce "sju" yet? That's the real test lol. Love the way childrens minds work!
I think when you have to dig deep for your joy pockets you might enjoy the biggest reward for gratitude. Wishing you relief and strength after you struggles!
And I LOVE your son's randomness and genuine appreciation for new clothes. You're clearly instilling in him a deeply rooted sense of joy.
I love the randomness of a five year old brain! What a great picture, too! His excitement over new clothes brings me such joy as I can barely get my four year old son to get dressed let alone set out his clothes for display!! Have a great weekend!
What a terrific anteater drawing!
I hope you have a better week next week!
